Gerard Cosmetics: First impressions + Swatches

Despite being super hot and icky, I got one of my recent hauls delivered today.  I’m really pleased, but at the same time, I will have to update the story later on.

I ordered 10 lipsticks from Gerard Cosmetics and a matte liquid lippie. Well, they came and upon inspection of the colors, I discovered that the color I looked forward to the most — Underground— Was broken at the bottom and was falling out of the tube.  I made several attempts to fix it, but I doubt it’ll work very well. I contacted GC by both phone and email to make sure they have my complaint on file, so I’ll followup on that for you guys and let you know how it turns out. I want to buy more lipsticks from them because they are just …UGH–Amazing, but I’d like the resolve my issue first.

I think you can totally tell which one is Underground since the tip is also already been clipped off as well.  But the rest of the colors are just stunning! Highly pigmented, they glide on really easily and buildup color fast for intense looks.

Swatch of the long lasting-matte liquid in Serenity. (Shown at the top in the back, frosted tube.)

From left to right: Tequila Sunrise, Fire Engine, Nude, Vintage Rose, Dragon Berry

Left to right: 1995, Rodeo Drive, French Toast, Underground, Cherry Cordial.

Every single shade I picked managed to be extremely attractive for medium tones. Underground and 1995 are definitely going to be favorites with Tequila Sunrise, Rodeo drive and Vintage Rose following behind closely. The Nude color almost matched my skin tone but I have a lighter face than I do arms, so it might be ok.

Bonus pic from this past weekend cause it’s been too hot to really wear makeup except at night w/ the AC on.

UPDATE: They sent me a brand new Underground lippie due to the first one being broken. :) I am happy as can be.
