Everyone does one last bit of shopping before a big spending freeze, right?
Well, since we are saving up for something big in August, we have to put a spending freeze on everything except for bills. Everything has to go into savings.
That’s gonna be hard for me because I typically never have to save more then 2–3 pay periods for anything.
Oh, well. Time to be an adult.
As a result, I got a few things on my last available weekend down in LA. Mostly collectibles, but I got some make up/bath stuff too since I won’t have the money to make another trip down there for another 6 months at least.

Actually, the 3D case, I bought a couple of weeks back. The front sticker/protector was what I purchased today. It’s actually sitting on top of one of those ZaGG (or whatever) protectors, so I actually have two skins on my iphone.
Mostly, this is because I’m paranoid about my screen getting cracked or scratched. Thankfully, it hasn’t affected the sensitivity of my screen, so I can carry on like a weirdo.

Mobile phone/card case because Richard says I lose my phone too often. “You lose it in your hand.” He even thinks that I’d lose it in the case while it’s sitting around my neck.

Phone stand! I wanted to buy a cradle, but when I saw this thing, I jumped for it.

You can see how grossly large my san-x collection is getting in the background.

Found a Swimmer bambi headband/earmuff at Q-Pop! Amazing find, considering that these have been sold out for like 5 months.

My largest purchase of the day. Literally and financially.
A giant korilakkuma pullow. It takes up nearly the whole width of my bed. I’m not really sure if I want to take it out of the packaging because I’d hate for it to get schmutzy. Maybe I’ll just pull a granny move and keep the plastic on the pillow.
Every week, I spend about 4–5 hours just downloading and testing out apps. I focus a lot on camera and social media apps, since that’s pretty much my passion. I love photos, and I love to connect with others.
I think I should feature ones that really stand out to me, that I don’t end up deleting a month later!
Let’s start with one I found recently, and am currently just head over heels with.
Snappeee

Snapeee is a purikura app available here, iTunes and is also available for Droid users! There’s only one little difference; you can use it like you use instagram. It posts your photo to a larger feed, and you can comment, “recommend” photos, and follow/connect with other snapeees. So far, it seems like it’s a small community, but among Japanese kawaii enthusiasts, I can see it getting bigger.
So far, next to say, DecoPic, DecoPetit and others, this probably one of the better deco applications that I’ve used so far.

The interface is smooth and in English for international users. The stamp sets are free and I think they have monthly special stamps! The current ones will be available until February 15th. After that, they will disappear forever. I guess it’s like “Get it while it’s hot” type sets and then trade if you find someone else with stamps you want?
There’s lots to choose from and I’m excited to collect more stamps and frames!

I think the only thing I didn’t like about this app was that there wasn’t any filters that I could see to use. I hope they add them in the near future. That’d make this app just over the top!!! If you sign up, follow me @happiimilk. I’ll follow back because I love seeing other people’s snaps!

My week has been nothing but Christmas. Richard’s family is really into it. We went and bought a tree where his mom forced the tree boy to take a tip by putting it in his Schmoe’s (censored for his protection) vest like some Chip N’ Dales dancer.
I’ve been wrapping so many gifts that I’m actually sick of it and shopping too. (Hell must have frozen over. LOL) I bought more stuff for Richard’s sisters than I originally planned to. I guess I have some residual feelings that maybe I should try harder to get along with his family despite some serious clashing.
They seem appreciative so I suppose it’s ok.
Nabbed a rare item for myself, and then because one of them really likes Pokemon too, I sniped one for her too. These little guys came out when I was a little kid and now they can get as high as $130 in auctions. I sniped hers at $6.25 shipped.
(also, I can post this because neither of of his sisters reads my blog)
BEHOLD! The original pokewalker; The virtual pikachu pet/pedometer!

It’s really hard not to wanna shake this thing to earn watt points.
And then the rest of the week has been just visiting his family, exchanging gifts to put under our respective trees. I took the girls shopping too and bought Boom a whole new ensemble. (photos later)

Not a good angle for Richard but this photo is for his Maataa.
Oh yeah, did I mention I built an entire platform bed in the middle of the night?

In case I didn’t;
I built an entire platform bed with 6 drawers in the middle of the night/wee hours of the morning.
